ZAM66 Single-Wheel Media Rotary Polisher — deburring, de-rusting and polishing in one machine

The ZAM66 single-wheel rotary polisher is built for alloy wheel finishing where more than just polishing is needed. With a large 350 kg media capacity and a two-media process, it handles heavier deburring and rust removal as well as fine polishing — making it a strong choice for wheels that arrive oxidized, scaled or with casting burrs.

The wheel is mounted on a rotating shaft inside a 960 mm barrel while finishing media flows across the rim face, spokes and barrel. A 1.5 kW main shaft motor drives wheel rotation for uniform, repeatable contact, so operators get consistent results across every batch without trial and error.

  • Two-media process — ceramic deburring balls for cutting, zirconia balls for final shine
  • Large 350 kg media capacity for heavier finishing loads
  • Removes casting burrs, oxidation, scale and light rust
  • Restores brightness while protecting rim edges and spokes

Before & after on a real wheel

The ZAM66 removes oxidation, casting burrs and light rust while protecting rim edges and spokes.

Two-media finishing process

The ZAM66 uses two media types across the cycle — heavier ceramic balls for cutting and deburring, then zirconia balls for brightening. Exact staging and timing depend on wheel condition and the target finish.

Who the ZAM66 single-wheel is built for

Wheel repair shops handling rough wheels — the two-media process tackles oxidation, scale and burrs that a polish-only machine can’t, so heavily weathered wheels come out clean in one workflow.

Refurbishment factories — the large 350 kg media load and stronger main motor suit steady batch processing of wheels in varied condition.

Wheel manufacturers — add a controlled deburring-plus-finishing step after casting or machining, removing burrs and improving surface uniformity in one pass.

ZAM66 Single-Wheel Media Rotary Polisher – FAQs

1. What is the ZAM66 single-wheel used for?
The ZAM66 single-wheel rotary polisher is used for deburring, de-rusting, cleaning and polishing automotive wheels. Its two-media process handles both heavier cutting and fine polishing, making it suitable for wheels that arrive oxidized or with casting burrs.
2. What is the difference between the ZAM66 and the ZAM76?
The ZAM66 single-wheel has a larger 350 kg media capacity and uses a two-media process (ceramic deburring balls plus zirconia polishing balls), so it handles heavier deburring and rust removal. The ZAM76 focuses on polishing with an up-lift design for easy loading. Both process one wheel per cycle. We can recommend the right one from your wheel samples.
3. What wheel sizes can the ZAM66 process?
The machine is suitable for automotive wheels from 12 to 24 inches. Please provide the wheel diameter, width, weight and material before ordering.
4. What media does the ZAM66 use?
Two media types: ceramic deburring balls (5–6 mm) for cutting, deburring and rust removal, and zirconia-toughened alumina balls (3–3.5 mm) for fine polishing and brightening. Media selection is matched to the wheel material and surface condition.
5. How much finishing media does the machine require?
The 960 mm processing barrel has a media capacity of approximately 350 kg. The actual loading quantity can be adjusted according to the wheel size and finishing requirements.
6. What surface finish can the ZAM66 achieve?
The machine removes burrs, oxidation, scale and light rust, then produces a clean, smooth and bright finish. Wheels with paint, deep scratches or heavy corrosion may require stripping or pre-grinding first.
7. What are the machine’s electrical requirements?
The ZAM66 single-wheel has a 1.5 kW main shaft motor and a 1.1 kW barrel motor. It can be configured for 220 V or 380 V, 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and single-phase or three-phase power.
8. Do you provide export packing and documentation?
Yes. The machine ships in 1000 × 1800 × 1800 mm export packing, and we handle the standard export documentation for shipment to 60+ countries.
