The YD15 is a jewelry-specific vibratory tumbler — designed and specified for the finishing requirements of precious metal jewelry, watch components and small precision parts, rather than as a scaled-down version of a general-purpose industrial machine. The four key specifications that make it jewelry-specific are the 25 mm DuPont PU lining (protects precious metal surfaces), natural rubber springs (low noise for workshop environments), Bosch Rexroth VFD (fine amplitude control for different jewelry metals), and the recirculating water system (compound recovery for continuous production).
The YD15 at 15 L / 12 L working capacity is a compact, single-operator machine suited for jewelry workshops and small production runs. For higher production volume using the same vibratory polishing principle, the VBS(A) series at 100–820 L provides the same bowl geometry with larger capacity. For faster cycle times on jewelry, the CF series centrifugal disc machine or CB centrifugal barrel machine are the next step up in process intensity.
The YD15 Jewelry Vibratory Tumbler is designed for gentle yet efficient finishing of precision parts such as jewelry components, watch parts, small hardware, and delicate machined pieces. Its curved bowl profile and optimized vibration deliver uniform media flow, helping you achieve consistent deburring, edge radiusing, smoothing, and pre-polishing without part-on-part damage. A durable PU-lined bowl protects sensitive surfaces, while natural rubber springs reduce vibration loss and keep operating noise lower.
For daily production, the YD15 supports a recirculating water system to reduce water consumption and improve compound recovery. With VFD control, operators can fine-tune speed and amplitude to match different materials and quality requirements. Compatible with ceramic, plastic, porcelain, and organic media, the YD15 is a compact, reliable solution for workshops that need repeatable finishing results and stable throughput.
We also added the plastic sound cover, and it really helps—our noise level dropped to around 70 dB, which makes the shop much more comfortable. The built-in timer is super convenient too: we just set the finishing time (like 40 minutes) and the machine stops automatically when it reaches the set time, so we don’t have to stand there watching it.
ZR600 Zirconia Ball Polishing Process (Silver Jewelry)
| Item | Recommended Setting |
|---|
| Process Name | ZR600 Zirconia Ball Polishing (Silver Jewelry) |
| Workpieces | Silver jewelry parts (rings, pendants, charms, small findings) |
| Media Type | ZR600 yttria-stabilized zirconia balls |
| Media Size | 0.8–1.0 mm |
| Compound | HM-88 |
| Process Type | Wet polishing |
| Cycle Time | 1 hour |
| Loading Tip | Add media first, then parts; avoid overloading to prevent part-on-part marks |
| Water/Compound Use | Add water + HM-88 to keep a light, continuous wet film (flowing, not flooded) |
| Post-Process | Rinse thoroughly → clean if needed → dry with warm air for maximum shine |
| Notes | Best as a final step after pre-finishing; reduce load / use separators for delicate parts |
