CD120Q / CD230 Automatic Centrifugal Disc Finishing Machine — Product Overview
The CD120Q and CD230 are the production-scale automatic centrifugal disc finishing machines — a step up in capacity, automation and throughput from the smaller CD120B and CD230B models. The key differences are the larger chamber size (640 mm and 800 mm respectively vs the CD120B’s 640 mm standard configuration), the hydraulic automatic discharge system, the loading hopper for automated part feeding, and the availability of double-bowl configurations (CD120Q×2, CD230×2) for doubled throughput.
These machines are designed for manufacturers who are already using centrifugal disc finishing and need to scale production, or who are replacing multiple smaller machines with one larger automated system. The 120 L and 230 L capacities cover most small-to-medium part applications — stampings, castings, machined components, coin blanks, chain links, washers — with part size up to approximately 150 mm and part thickness ≥1 mm.
Inovatec’s Automatic Centrifugal Disc Finishing Machines deliver significantly shorter cycle times than traditional vibratory tumblers, helping reduce finishing costs while achieving a higher-quality surface finish. Centrifugal disc systems can process parts up to 30× faster than bowl-type vibratory equipment and offer enhanced automation compared with centrifugal barrel machines.
| Model / Capacity | Configuration | Typical Parts | Notes |
|---|
| 50L | Single / Double | small precision parts | compact automation |
| 80L | Single / Double | small–medium batches | balanced |
| 120L | Single / Double | production batches | popular capacity |
| 230L | Single / Double | higher throughput | popular capacity |
These machines are suitable for a wide range of components, including chain links, plastic eyeglass frames, watch links, and washers. Popular capacities include 120L and 230L, available in single- and double-barrel configurations. We also offer 50L and 80L models, with flexible design options to match your production needs.
Common vibratory finishing media options include ceramic media, porcelain media, and plastic media.
Wet Finishing Process Recipes (LC-13 | 4:1 Media-to-Parts | 100–140 RPM)
| Workpiece type | Typical size | Process goal | Recommended media | Media size / type | Cycle time | Process |
|---|
| Stamping parts | ~20 mm | Deburring / edge break | Ceramic deburring media (ACT) | 10×10 mm | ~1 hour | Wet finishing |
| Aluminum die casting parts | ~30 mm | Deburring / smoothing | Plastic media (cone) | 15 mm cone | ~2 hour | Wet finishing |
| Stainless steel machined parts | ~50 mm | Deburring / radiusing | Ceramic deburring media (ACT) | 6×6 mm | ~1 hour | Wet finishing |
| Precision bearings | ~45 mm | Polishing / burnishing | Porcelain pins | 3×10 mm pins | ~1 hour | Wet finishing |
Actual cycle time depends on burr size, material hardness, and finish requirement; a quick test run is recommended.
